After further testing, blower motor needed to be replaced. Replaced with a 120/240 universal 3/4 hp motor. Everything is running and cooling as it should now. Air conditioning repair. Customer had 2” of water in his return box under the furnace. They had power service out the night and next day found the water. Cleaned and dried up all the water. Tested capacitor, contactor, fan motor amperage and compressor amperage. The capacitor tester way below acceptable range. Replaced the capacitor with a 35/5. Checked refrigerant levels. The condensing unit was extremely low on refrigerant which there for caused the water or condensation in the furnace room. Added 2-1/2 lbs of R22 refrigerant to achieve accurate sub cooling efficiency and to bring the evaporator coil to above freezing temperatures. Customer wanted me to check the upstairs unit while I was there. Tested capacitor, contactor, fan motor amperage and compressor amperages. Everything was in accurate working condition. Refrigerant levels were accurate as well. Customer asked for a quote on new condenser for the first floor.
