With the freezing temperatures this winter imagine what people went through a hundred years ago.
Today you can walk from room to room in your home and feel warm. That wasn’t the case back in the 1800’s and early 1900’s. Winter cold crept into unheated rooms and wouldn’t go away.
You had to bundle up inside and take heat with you. Hot rocks were put under mattresses to help during the cold nights or if you had money a portable foot stove. Generally staying near the kitchen was a common practice.
Central heating sure is a nice comfort machine. And if your furnace or boiler is not keeping you warm, call a PDM heating specialist. We’ve been working hard late into the night to keep people like you warm this hard winter. How can we help you?
