- Sometimes called “white water,” cloudy water is caused when tiny air bubbles come out of solution in the water.
- Cold water holds more air than warm water, these little bubbles will appear when water with a high dissolved oxygen content is warmed or depressurized (for example, when it pours out of your tap).
- This condition is harmless and will disappear as the oxygen is released from the water, but you can hurry the process along by running your drinking water through a reverse osmosis filter. Crystal-clear water will fill your sparkling glasses—and you’ll have no more plastic bottle clutter.
