PDM Client Testimonials

PDM did a great job, complete...showed up on time, pleasant gentleman, good attitude, good equipment, tried 2 places; a clean out in supply room, did not work, 2nd clean out would not open (also on sales floor and 130 feet from toilet) so he pulled toilet and went 90 some feet and finally went out. Cleaned up after he was done made sure no leaks. Good job tech...Brian Phelan looks like someone knows how to close work orders and finish the job. Good people. Thanks for the quick service.”

Mr. Ruby Mahalik, Jr.
When I answered the door I met your repairman Brian. Although his shirt identified him he cheerfully introduced himself and informed me he was here to check my sump pump. Being a utility company manager for many years his approach is the kind most of us appreciate.

We went to the basement where he quickly made a few preliminary checks and suggested that based on age, we replace the pump. I agreed and signed the contract he presented.

Brian then proceeded with his work in a proficient skillful manner. The work area was kept clean and orderly so were his equipment.

Perhaps I’m getting fussier in my later years but these things tell me about the quality of the work I will receive. He is a credit to PDM. By the way my association with PDM goes back to 1946 with Frank Poehner. Thanks for good service.

William B.

Dear Mr. Mahalik,

I am writing to inform you about the conduct of one of your employees. By now you are probably groaning to yourself and waiting for a long drawn out complaint to start. After all, that seems to be the only time customers feel they need to contact management. But you simply won’t find that in this writing. I have nothing but glowing praise. My only regret is taking so long to sit down and write this letter.

During renovation to our home, employees of our general contractor damaged a pipe in our basement. In an attempt to fix their damage, they sent a an unqualified person who did nothing but make the situation worse. At that time, I said STOP! And marched upstairs, flipped open the phone book, and called the only local plumbing company I recognized (having seen the yellow/orange box truck). Being after hours, I left a message and received a return call bright and early the next morning.

Not being a regular customer I figured we would be placed on a list. We turned the water off and expected a long wait. However the response was, “No problem, we’ll have a technician there today (5-17-07).”

To our delight, Jay was sent. He called to let us know he was on the way, arrived at our door polite and professional, and immediately went to work. He covered his shoes even though I assured him the carpeting was next to be ripped out in our renovations. He evaluated the situation checking both the plumbing leading up to and beyond the obvious problem. He then offered us a variety of choices to resolve the problem. He could completely replace, replace a portion, or attempt to fix the parts and pieces. Not wanting to lay a lot more money into this project, we decided to fix it. He climbed back up the ladder and began to work, after a very short time he said, “This is not responding and I cannot guarantee that fixing it will work for any length of time.” He then explained further stress of the system giving us a chance to make a more educated decision. We opted for the partial replacement and he went to work, working quickly and completely solving the problem.

He then set about preparing the bill, itemizing everything making it easy for us to attempt reimbursement from the offending contractor. During this phase of the house call, we fell easily into polite chitchat. Then surprising he said, “I’ve been here before, haven’t I.” Knowing that most of the houses in our neighborhood all look alike, I said, “Probably to one of the houses here that has the same floor plan.” He said, “No, to this house. About 10 years ago your son flushed a flexible drink bottle down the toilet in the power room, right?” I didn’t remember it until until he mentioned it. I couldn’t believe it. We need a plumber two times in ten years and were lucky enough to get someone who really cares about his customers.

Thank you for hiring quality personnel that work diligently and efficiently with the lofty goal of complete customer satisfaction. Give Jay a pat on the back; he represents your company well. Using my comments in advertisement is fine with me, as I would be glad to let others know I am completely satisfied.

Hopefully I will never need a plumber again. However, if I do I will immediately call PDM. No other company compares.

Sincerely,

Ragina Wegner

I want to sing the praises of one of your employees, Jason Mabry. Upon his arrival, I immediately knew this otherwise dreadful situation would be rectified with a very pleasant experience! I found Jason to be extremely knowledgeable and very courteous. He went above and beyond the call of duty in taking the time to answer all of my questions, requiring a great deal of patience on his part! The installation went quickly, smoothly, and the cleanup was outstanding. Everything was tested out to ensure my peace of mind. I told him he deserves a promotion and raise!

In today's world, it is truly comforting to know there are still people out there who take great pride in their work, are dedicated, and truly care for their customers!! I thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything!! Jason is truly one of a kind!

Sincerely,
Gregory L. D.

Thank you for selecting my two beautiful sinks and faucets. I am really enjoying them.

Jay did an excellent job of removing the old sinks and replacing the new ones. He was such a great personality. He explained everything he did with the new connections and the functions of the new sinks. It was a pleasure to have him in my home.

Sincerely,
Martha W.

I would just like to say that I have had Chris Spotofora service my heating and air conditioning units for several years. Chris and Don Lockwood were the men that installed both units.. I can't say enough about Chris. He is polite, honest, and really cares about his work. Desides knowing his product inside and out, I have no doubt that the job is done properly. I always ask for Chris because I have confidence that whatever needs to be done, will be done right. Everything is neat and clean when Chris is finished, He is truly a fine young man and an asset to your company.

Sincerely,
Patricia A. M.

I am writing to tell you that I was very pleased with the work that Brian did while replacing our hot water tank. He was very efficient, did a good job and didn't waste any time. When he was sone he explained everything to me and that was very helpful. If all service people were as good as Brian it would be a much better world.

Thankfully,
Dianne N. H.

Plumber saves baby's life.
As reported in the Herald News:
While on a normal service call to install a water softener, Dan Kramerich, a plumber at PDM Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Since 1885, heard screams that the "baby was chocking". Dan rushed upstairs to find a terrified mother holding a blue baby in her arms. And help he did. While working at Silver Cross Hospital, Dan learned "What to do when a baby is choking". Dan followed the steps and saved a baby's life. When you call PDM you get more than a plumber. You get people who care.
